Here I am outside the former
nursing home where Brian was born just a few days after World War Two. His
parents were joyful that their first child arrived on Yom Kippur (the Jewish
Day Of Atonement). This nursing home was considered the best in Liverpool, on a
par with those on Harley Street. Nowadays it belongs to the John Moores University. I was glad to see there's a plaque on
the wall of this Grade II listed building. It's close to the hospital where
John was born six years after Brian's birth.
