Paul Raymond's boyhood home, Glossop

As a teenager the future soft-porn publisher and property developer lived. He was about sixteen and was evacuated from Liverpool as World War Two started. His uncle Felix ran a medical practice here and there was room for six evacuees above the practice. Paul and his brothers lived here with other children Manchester, Bolton and Surrey. He left aged eighteen when conscripted into the army.
