Sir Charles Halle's former home (11^th April 1819 to 25^th October 1895)

The famous conductor, pianist and founder of the Halle Orchestra lived here in Victoria Park in Manchester. The painter Ford Maddox Brown also lived here. The area is now packed with student accommodation blocks but it was probably a posh district a century ago.
