Coffee Two Sugars, Please

One day I was sat at my table having a creamy coffee and Kit Kat wondering what to paint next (there’s usually about three or four ideas in my mind at any time.)

I didn’t have much time that weekend so it had to be something simple. I put my coffee down on a coaster - on the coaster was a cup of steaming coffee. That’s it, I thought, I’ll paint a cup off coffee.

So here is Coffee Two Sugars, Please. I’d been watching some Jeeves & Wooster DVD and decided to put a 1930's slant on the painting, make it a little art deco.
