The famous soap actress married her partner Tony Booth here at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheshire. She died of lung cancer eight days later.

I visited the hospital one a sunny Sunday morning and didn't see anyone else on foot. Everyone I saw was in an expensive car - to be expected I suppose as it's the largest private hospital in the UK outside London. The Manchester United footballer manager Sir Matt Busby died here of a stroke.
